Day 1:Dublin - Capital ofIreland (D)

Welcome to Dublin, Ireland'sCapital. On arrival at Dublin Airport, pass through immigration control and pickup your baggage. Go to the CIE Tours desk in the Arrivals Halls to meet yourdriver/guide and arrange a transfer to your hotel. If you arrive before noon onindependent flights, a transfer will be provided. At 2:00 pm set off on yourafternoon tour of Dublin with a local guide to show you around. Your tourincludes visits to St.  Patrick's Cathedral where Jonathan Swift was onceDean and also to Dublin Castle to see the State Apartments where many historicevents have taken place. This evening meet your fellow travelers over a welcomedrink and enjoy dinner and an Irish cabaret show.

Day 2:Blarney Castle & Killarney(B, D)

See a variety of scenery today as you depart Dublin anddrive through rich farm country and busy market towns. Stop near Cashel tosample some home-baked scones with tea served at a sheep farm so you can learn alittle about Irish farming. Just outside Cork visit Blarney Castle where youhave an opportunity to acquire the gift of eloquence by kissing the famousstone. Continue towards the mountainous country of Kerry and into Killarney.After dinner, perhaps explore one of Killarney's famous singing pubs.

Day 3:Ring of Kerry Tour(B, D)

Dress comfortably for a jaunting car tour which willtransport you along the shores of Muckross Lake for a guided tour of the 19^thhoteles en Glasgowcentury Muckross House and Folk Museum. Then embark on Ireland's most popularscenic drive, the Ring of Kerry, by skirting Ireland's highest mountains, theMacgillycuddy's Reeks. Your route passes through Glenbeigh, with palm trees andbeautiful beaches; remote Waterville; and the colorful village of Sneem. Headback towards Killarney through Moll's Gap in time for dinner.

Day 4:Cliffs of Moher & Bunratty Castle(B, D)

Depart Killarney and travel to Tarbet to take the ferryacross the River Shannon. Your tour continues along the Clare coast to theCliffs of Moher which rise 700 feet above the Atlantic.  Drive to theShannonside region to check into your hotel. This evening's dinner is amedieval-style banquet and evocative entertainment in Bunratty Castle.

Day 5:Shannon Airport & Dublin(B)

This morning some of you transfer to Shannon Airport forreturn flights to the United States. Passengers who wish to end their tour inDublin drive through pleasant scenery of the midland region. The tour concludesat Dublin Airport at approximately 4:00 pm or in the city center at 4:30 pm.

The balanceof the day is free so that you may rest after your journey or do some exploringon your own. Day 2: DublinTour & Theater(B, D)

This morning a city sightseeing tour will introduce you tothis capital city with its many historic buildings, delightful gardens andlively shopping streets. Drive around the principal areas and visit DublinCastle, founded in the 13^th century. Tour State Apartments, whichdate mainly from the Georgian period and contain historical portraits andfurnishings as well as shimmering Waterford crystal chandeliers. Finish yourmorning with a guided tour around the National Museum to see priceless ancientIrish gold artifacts. The afternoon is free. Enjoy an early dinner at theCommons Restaurant before attending a performance at either the Abbey or GateTheatre.

Day 3:Locke's Distillery & Galway(B, D)

Leave Dublin this morning and drive west through farmingcountry and marketing towns. In Kilbeggan tour the historic Locke's Distilleryto learn about whiskey distillation processes and sample some of the product.Then continue west to Galway and motor around the city center to see the SpanishArch, Galway Cathedral and Eyre Square. After some free time travel to AshfordCastle to arrive by mid-afternoon so you can enjoy your luxurious surroundings.Dining in the castle is an elegant gastronomic experience and the Castle Dungeonprovides spirited music afterwards.

This morning take some time to enjoy your world-classhotel. Ashford Castle dates from the 13^th century but today offersevery modern comfort and a full range of sporting activities. In the afternoontake a drive via Leenane and Maam Cross to see some of the Connemara region,known for its hills and surefooted sheep. Stop to visit Kylemore Abbey, a 19^thcentury mansion that is now a prestigious school for girls. From Oughterardcruise across Lough Corrib and return to Ashford Castle by water. Enjoy anothersuperb dinner in the stately dining room.

Day 5:Depart for Home(B)
