P telephony is an alternative telephone system that takes phone calls, breaks them into data packets, and transmits them through the Internet and other computer networks. Rather than having phone and data cables running side-by-side to each workstation, IP telephony combines the power and reliability of today's data networks with a powerful telephone system to cut initial and ongoing costs, while adding functionality that can help your people succeed. IP phones work and look just like standard phones to the user, and can even be moved around offices while keeping the same phone number in busy environments.
