Air Pacific's freight operation has come a long way from being a "loose freight" carrier in narrow body aircraft to "freight unitization" in wide body aircraft.
The impact of Air Pacific's freight product to its total business performance is so great that the airline has invested a lot in it towards maintaining very high service standards and competitiveness of the Air Pacific freight rates.
Air Pacific Freight regularly carries a variety of general cargo products including computer equipment, printed matter, machinery and electrical equipment, to and from world markets.
Air Pacific provides special handling for perishable cargo such as fresh meat, seafood, fruit and vegetables, flowers and medicines thereby meeting the needs of Fiji producers who service the growth markets of Japan, Australia, New Zealand, US and Europe.
Air Pacific freight handlers provide freezer and cool-room facilities to ensure perishable consignments are maintained in optimum conditions.
Air Pacific Freight has many years experience flying live animals, including commercial livestock, prime breeding stock, valuable zoological species and domestic pets. Please Note: No animals are allowed in the aircraft cabin, with the exception of Service Dogs, i.e. Guide Dogs, subject to prior notification. Freight staff can advise customers on the regulations and requirements relevant to the animal and the country of destination and those through which the animal will pass en route.
Dangerous goods including chemicals, compressed gases, flammable liquids and poisons can be carried under special conditions of acceptance, packaging and labeling to comply with International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations.
We ensure our staff undergo extensive dangerous goods training using approved Civil Aviation Authority approved courses.
Freight rates applicable to freight carried on Air Pacific services may be obtained from the local Air Pacific handling agent or Air Pacific official contact given in this website.
