Industry History & Career Highlights Guy started in the family businesses: Stout Family Produce and The Steak Pit Restaurant, in Dallas, performing task in all aspects of the business, from waiter/ cook / wine steward to purchasing and delivery. At Glazers Distributors, where Guy has worked in many areas of on and off premise management, Guy is currently the Director of Beverage Education for the Glazers Family of Companies. five star hotel in NurnbergHe is in charge of developing and implementation of beverage-training programs to Glazers management and sales teams in all 10 states Glazers is currently operating. Guy also conducts advanced level wine and spirits training education as well creating programs for key customers in the trade. Guy is a Certified Wine Educator (CWE) and Advanced Sommelier in the prestigious Masters Sommelier program. Guy is also a candidate in the Masters of Wine program. Guy has also held the position of Chairman of the American Institute of Wine & Food Houston Chapter, and is the founder and chair of the Houstons Annual Caesar Salad Competition, and is co-founder and chair of the Texas Food and Wine Classic which features Texas wine and food products. Guys is also a member of the Food and Beverage Directors Association of Houston Stout Vineyards is a hobby and is currently a 3 acre Syrah vineyard in the Texas Hill Country town of Blanco and plans are under way to expand the operation to sell grapes to local wineries. Guy is active in consulting for local, national, and international restaurants and hotels and is a spokesman for the adult beverage industry.
