The four basic types of resumes are:
The ChronologicalResume
This is perhaps the most commonly usedresume form. It lists in reverse chronological order theindividual's work history. Prospective employers canimmediately determine an applicant's careerprogression and determine the amount of experiencegained on each job.
The Achievement Resume
This resume form emphasizesoutstanding achievement with less emphasis on experience.Accomplishments such as sales records, patents, contracts,works published, money saved, improvements made, etc., arepresented.
The Functional Resume 
This format is used when a widevariety of experience covering a long period of time can begrouped into skill areas. this process highlights areas ofexpertise rather than time frames.
The Recent GraduateResume 
This resume format is for recentgraduates with little or no work experience. It emphasizestraining and education in a major field of study.
